Ukraine travel advisory for Indian students

• In continuation of its 19 October 2022 advisory, the Embassy on 25 October 2022 advised all Indian citizens in Ukraine to leave immediately by available means. [1]
• It asked Indians to contact the Embassy for help reaching the border and listed the Indian missions in Romania, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. [1]

• In September 2022 NMC accepted Ukraine's academic mobility programme with the degree from the parent Ukrainian university. [5]
• Any final degree must still meet NMC's FMGL rules to lead to an Indian licence. [3]

• The Government told the Supreme Court that NMC's mobility notice was not a back door into Indian medical colleges. [5]
• After FMGE, a 12-month internship in India is needed; NMC's March 2026 circular sets FMG internship seat shares for State Medical Councils. [4]
