02 What it costs
GRE fees and the fee reduction voucher
- The GRE General Test costs US$249 in all areas except China, effective 1 August 2026. ETS tells test takers in India to use the ETS India website for payment. [1]
- Rescheduling and changing the test centre cost US$55 each; an additional score report costs US$40 per recipient; score reinstatement costs US$50. [1]
- With a GRE Fee Reduction Voucher you pay US$100 for the General Test and also get US$100 worth of official prep material. [1]
