03 Exam scheme

How the online test works

  • Online computer-based test for every group, with questions shown in Hindi and English.
  • Each paper: 100 multiple-choice questions, four options each, 4 marks for every correct answer, 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • If a question is found wrong or has two correct options, every candidate who attempted it gets the full 4 marks.
  • Candidates choose four exam districts in order of preference; the council may allot any district. A mock test opens on the portal two days before the exam.
  • Reach the centre two hours early for biometric registration; only a black or blue ball pen is allowed — calculators and phones are banned. [1]

Paid online by net banking, debit or credit card or UPI; bank charges are extra and the fee is not refunded in any case. [1]

The tuition fee of private polytechnics is fixed by the state's admission and fee committee; for 2025-26 the government kept the 2024-25 standard fee (office memorandum of 26 August 2025), but the amounts are not printed in that order, so none is shown. [2]

What a polytechnic diploma leads to
