Short diplomas (after 10th or 12th)

Choose wisely

Smart moves on a fast-track route

Check NCVT/SCVT recognition

For ITI, NCVT/DGT certificates are recognised nationwide; State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) is state-level. It affects apprenticeship and job options.

Take the apprenticeship

A paid apprenticeship after ITI or diploma is the most common bridge to a permanent job.

Keep a path to grow

ITI can lead to a diploma through lateral entry, and a diploma to B.Tech through lateral entry — fast now does not mean stuck later.

Build proof of skill

For portfolio-led roles, real projects matter more than certificates. Start building samples from day one.

Government jobs need no extra course

If you already have Class 10 or 12, recruitment exams like SSC MTS, SSC GD, RRB Group D and SSC CHSL are the fastest route to a salaried job. See the Government Exams hub (govt-exams.html).
