CBSE Board 2027 for Delhi Students — LOC, Fees, Two Board Exams for Class 10
Delhi's government schools and most private schools are affiliated to CBSE, and where a student passes Class 12 also decides the Delhi-region quota in JAC Delhi and GGSIPU. This page follows CBSE's circular on the List of Candidates (LOC) for the 2027 main examinations.
The 2027 board exams
- The LOC submitted by schools now is for the 2027 main exams of Class 10 and Class 12.
- Under CBSE's Two Board Policy (26 June 2025), the first Class 10 board exam in February–March is mandatory for every Class 10 student; the LOC for the second exam is filled after the first is over, and students can take only the same subjects in the second exam.
- Only students whose names are submitted through the LOC can appear in the 2026-27 board exams. [1]
Through the school's list of candidates
- Regular students are sent by their school; the school must check the subject combination against the CBSE scheme of studies — invalid combinations make the candidate ineligible.
- The school must ensure the student meets the minimum and maximum age set by the State / UT government for that class (Rule 6.1 of the Examination Bye-laws).
- Schools may not ask parents for ITR or other income proof while collecting data. [1]

JAC Delhi needs Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12 with English, and GGSIPU's BBA needs English passed — choose Class 12 subjects with the target course in mind.
Board exam fee 2026-27
LOC fee for Class 10 and Class 12 (schools in India) [1]
| Item | Fee | Window |
|---|---|---|
| Exam fee, 5 subjects | ₹1,600 per candidate | 24 Sep – 21 Oct 2026 (online); challan till 17 Oct 2026 |
| Each additional subject | ₹320 | Same window |
| Practical subject (Class 12 only) | ₹160 per subject | Same window |
| Late fee | ₹2,000 per candidate extra | 22 – 30 Oct 2026 (challan till 26 Oct) |
Visually impaired candidates are exempt from the Class 10 and 12 exam fee. CBSE no longer issues a hard-copy migration certificate by default; a soft copy is available after the Class 12 result. [1]
The new data verification slip
- After the LOC closes, schools generate a data verification slip for each student; mistakes in name, parents' names, date of birth or subjects can be corrected only from 2 to 4 November 2026, and no correction is allowed after that.
- Correcting a name or replacing a subject within the schedule costs nothing; adding a sixth subject needs the extra fee.
- Requests to change subjects just before the exams are not accepted. [1]
What parents should verify
- Student's name, mother's, father's and guardian's names and date of birth exactly as in school records.
- Correct subject codes and combination.
- Category (full subjects, improvement or compartment) and APAAR ID (optional).
- Photograph uploaded by the school. [1]
Why the school's location matters in Delhi
JAC Delhi and GGSIPU both decide the 85% Delhi-region quota by where the qualifying exam was passed: a student who passes Class 12 from a school in Delhi is Delhi region; NIOS / Patrachar students are placed by their exam centre. [2]
