Rajasthan Police states that each district runs its own constable recruitment; Sub-Inspectors and Deputy Superintendents of Police are recruited by RPSC, and IPS officers by UPSC. [1]

The latest constable drive is Constable Recruitment 2025 (Constable General / Driver). Rajasthan Police has published district-wise written-exam results and final results, with the most recent press note dated 2 January 2026 (Jaipur Commissionerate, absentee candidates). No new constable advertisement was on the police website when we checked. [2]

  • SI qualification: a degree from a recognised university, and working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari and of Rajasthani culture.
  • SI age: 20 to 25 on 1 January 2026. Because no SI exam was advertised after 2021, candidates over-age on 1 January 2026 get three extra years.
  • Relaxations: men of Rajasthan's SC / ST / OBC / MBC / EWS 5 years; women of those categories 10 years; general women 5 years; ex-servicemen and reservists up to 40; dependents of police personnel killed on duty 3 years. Relaxations are not cumulative. [3]
03 Exam scheme & physical tests

Written exam, PET, then interview

Constable process: written exam (by Police Headquarters), physical and medical examination, and physical efficiency test. [1]

PaperDurationMarks
General Hindi2 hours200
General Knowledge & General Science2 hours200
  • Pass mark: 36% in each paper and 40% in aggregate (5% relaxation for SC / ST); 20 times the vacancies go to the physical efficiency test.
  • PET: 100 marks, conducted by a board headed by an Inspector General of Police; 50% needed to qualify, and PET marks do not count in merit.
  • About three times the vacancies (by written marks) are called for the aptitude test and interview, which carry 50 marks; degree or diploma in criminology or NCC 'C' certificate earn extra weight.
  • To be recommended a candidate needs 36% in the interview and 45% in aggregate (30% and 40% for women, BC, MBC, SC, ST and EWS candidates).
  • Five options per question; not darkening any option costs one-third mark, and leaving more than 10% of questions blank disqualifies. [3]
04 Fee structure

Application fee

RPSC exams, including SI 2025, use the One-Time Registration fee on the SSO portal: ₹600 for General and creamy-layer OBC / MBC candidates, ₹400 for Rajasthan's non-creamy-layer OBC / MBC, EWS, SC, ST, Sahariya and persons with disabilities, paid once. [6]

No constable advertisement was open, so no constable fee is shown here.
