JAC Delhi 2026 — DTU, NSUT, IGDTUW, IIIT-Delhi and DSEU Admission on JEE Main
Delhi has no state engineering entrance exam. The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi, started in 2014 by the Delhi Government, fills B.Tech and B.Arch seats of five Delhi universities using JEE Main ranks. This page follows the JAC Delhi 2026 brochure, with NSUT as the coordinating university.

In 2026 JAC Delhi allotted 7,765 engineering seats in the five institutions and 90 B.Arch seats in two. Registration and choice filling ran from 28 May to 9 June 2026, with one more three-day window on 26–28 June 2026; no registration is allowed after that in the whole cycle. Counselling has four rounds, an upgradation round for admitted candidates and a spot round if seats are left. [1]
Delhi region, marks in Class 12 and age
- Delhi region (85% of seats): passed the qualifying exam from a recognised school / college located in the NCT of Delhi.
- Outside Delhi region (15%): passed it from a school outside the NCT of Delhi.
- NIOS / Patrachar Vidyalaya: region is decided by where the exam centre was.
- Qualifying exam: CBSE Class 12, ISC, or an equivalent. A candidate placed in compartment in 2026 is not eligible for 2026 admission.
- Age: no minimum or maximum age. [1]

English (core or elective) must be passed, and every other subject passed separately. B.Arch needs 45% in PCM + English (or a 3-year diploma with maths) and JEE Main Paper-II. EWS gets no relaxation in marks. Ties on JEE rank are broken by older date of birth, then a random draw. [1]
Rank, choices and rounds
- There is no separate JAC exam: NSUT, DTU, IGDTUW and DSEU use the JEE Main 2026 Common Rank List (Paper-I); IIIT-Delhi uses the JEE Main percentile plus bonus points for Olympiads, programming contests, NTSE, sports and similar achievements (up to 2 points, only the highest category counts).
- Counselling runs in four rounds; after Round 4, admitted candidates can be upgraded, and a spot round follows only if seats remain. [1]
- Fill as many choices as possible in the registration window — choices cannot be edited after it closes.
- After each round's allotment, pay the seat acceptance fee online (open until 2 pm on the last day of physical reporting) and report for document verification.
- Defence (Priority I–V), Kashmiri Migrant and IIIT-Delhi bonus-point claimants must get documents verified at NSUT before Round 1 (10 June 2026 in this cycle).
- There may be no fresh registration before the spot round, so anyone who may want a spot-round seat must register in the main window. [2]

Registration-cum-counselling fee: ₹1,500 + transaction charges, non-refundable. The seat acceptance fee paid online at allotment is ₹95,000 at NSUT, DTU and IIIT-Delhi; the balance is paid to the university. [1]

For Delhi-region reserved seats, the SC / ST / OBC certificate must be issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi and the candidate must have passed Class 12 from a school in Delhi. An OBC certificate from the Government of India or any other state is not accepted under any circumstances for Delhi-region OBC seats. [1]
- A Delhi certificate issued on the basis of a parent's certificate from another state is accepted only if the caste is in the central OBC list for Delhi / Delhi's notified OBC list.
- OBC-NCL certificates must be issued after 31 March 2026, or come with a fresh non-creamy-layer certificate from the same authority.
- The certificate must be in the candidate's own name; a parent's certificate is not accepted even for provisional admission.
- EWS: family gross income below ₹8 lakh, and no 5 acres of farm land, 1,000 sq ft flat, 100 sq yd plot in notified municipalities or 200 sq yd plot elsewhere.
- Unfilled SC / ST seats swap with each other, then go to general; unfilled Delhi general seats go to outside-Delhi general and vice versa. [1]
What to carry at physical reporting
- Seat acceptance fee receipt and the online registration form signed by the candidate and parent.
- Printout of filled choices and the seat allotment letter.
- JEE Main 2026 admit card and score card.
- Class 12 mark sheet; Class 10 certificate for date of birth.
- Category / sub-category certificate, EWS certificate, medical fitness certificate in the brochure format.
- Three passport-size photographs; IIIT-Delhi bonus-point documents if claimed. [1]

NSUT offers B.Tech in computer science (with data science, AI, big data and IoT tracks), IT, ECE, electrical, mechanical, civil, biotech, geoinformatics and others; DTU adds chemical, environmental, production and industrial, software engineering and engineering physics; IGDTUW offers CSE, AI and ML, ECE, robotics and a dual B.Tech + MBA for women; IIIT-Delhi offers CS with design, social sciences, biosciences, economics and AI. JAC Delhi's 2026 public advisory warns that no agent can promise admission in NSUT, DTU, IIIT-Delhi, IGDTUW or DSEU: seats are allotted only through the online counselling on JEE Main rank. Use only jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in. [3]
