Editorial policy
How we research, check, update and correct every guide on Education Margdarshan. You are planning your future with these pages, so you should know exactly how they are made.
Who writes the guides
Every guide is published by the Margdarshan Editorial Desk, the small independent team that runs this site. The desk researches, writes, checks and updates each page. You can read more about the desk on Who writes our guides.
Where our facts come from
We use sources in this order, and we stop at the first one that answers the question:
- The official body. The exam notice, regulator rule or government order (for example NTA, UPSC, ICAI, NMC, AICTE or a state board).
- The institution itself. A college, university or coaching centre's own official website.
- Official lists and datasets. Government registers such as the NMC college list or a state's polytechnic list.
We do not use forum posts, coaching adverts or other guide websites as a source for a fact. Every guide ends with a Sources section that links the pages we used, so you can check any fact yourself.
How colleges and coaching centres get listed
- A place is listed only when its own official website, or an official government list, names it.
- Verified means that official page opened and named the place when we checked. It is not a rating of teaching, results or fees.
- Lists are in alphabetical order. We do not publish rankings and we never call any place the "best" or "top".
- Big chains, small local institutes and free government schemes all follow the same rule.
- We do not show a finder button on a guide unless the finder has verified listings for it.
Keeping pages up to date
- Each guide shows a Last updated date near the top. It changes whenever the page or the data behind it changes.
- State exam pages carry an internal review date. When it passes, the page is checked again against the latest official notice.
- When an official date or fee is not announced yet, we say so. We do not guess.
How we use software and AI
Most pages are built by scripts from data files, so the same fact shows the same way on every page. Scripts also check links, page titles and structured data before each update goes live. We use AI tools to help draft, shorten and check wording. A fact goes on the site only when it matches an official source listed on that page, and the desk is responsible for every page we publish.
Independence and money
- The site is free. There is no sign-up and no paid tier.
- No college, coaching centre, exam body or company pays us to be listed, ranked or written about.
- We do not sell admissions, coaching or counselling.
- We are not part of any government body, university or exam authority. See the Disclaimer.
Corrections
If something on a page is wrong, we want to fix it.
- Email margdarshan07support10@gmail.com with the page link, the fact you think is wrong and, if you can, the official source.
- We check the fact against the official source.
- If it is wrong, we fix the data, and the page's Last updated date changes.
- Errors in dates, fees, eligibility or safety are fixed first.
How we write
- Plain English that a Class 10 student can read.
- Short points instead of long paragraphs.
- Every short form is spelled out the first time (for example NTA, the National Testing Agency).
- We show the good and the hard parts of each path, and we do not push any one option.
