Jharkhand NEET UG Counselling 2026 — JCECEB MBBS, BDS & BHMS State Merit List, Fees & Deposit

JCECEB invites online applications from NEET (UG)-2026 qualified candidates to prepare the State Merit List for state quota seats in MBBS, BDS and BHMS in government and private medical colleges of Jharkhand, then counsels them online under MCC guidelines. [1]

New candidates could still apply before Rounds 2, 3 and the stray round; the dates were later revised in step with MCC. [1]

• At least 17 years old by 31 Dec 2026; no upper age limit.
• Passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English individually with 50% in PCB together (40% for SC, ST, OBC-NCL and PwBD), and a rank in the NEET (UG)-2026 merit list.
• Citizen of India and a local / permanent resident of Jharkhand as defined by the state's 2016 local-resident policy, with a Local Resident Certificate from the SDO (Civil) or Deputy Commissioner. [1]

• Fill as many institute / course preferences as you like; seats are allotted on merit-cum-choice and choices can be edited on the set date.
• The category in the merit-list form must match the NEET form; otherwise you are treated as unreserved, except where central and state caste lists differ (then upload the caste certificate). NEET OBC candidates choose BC-I or BC-II.
• Admission stays provisional until certificates are verified; missing originals cancel the provisional allotment letter. [1]

Security money (MBBS & BDS) [1]

• The deposit is forfeited if you do not take admission after an allotment in Round 2 or later, or if admission is cancelled for wrong information or missing originals; it is refunded if you take a valid admission or get no seat. [1]

• The current reservation policy of the Government of Jharkhand applies, with caste certificates from the SDO (Civil) or Deputy Commissioner of Jharkhand; BC-I and BC-II certificates must state non-creamy layer.
• EWS needs an Income & Assets Certificate from the same authorities; primitive tribal groups have their own reservation.
• Disability certificates for MBBS / BDS / BHMS are valid only from RIMS Ranchi or MGM Medical College, Jamshedpur (not the Civil Surgeon). [1]

• Local Resident Certificate, caste / EWS / disability certificates in the proper format, and all originals as per the seat allotted.
• All residential, caste, income and disability certificates are verified with the district administration; forged certificates lead to criminal action and debarment. [1]

The notice fixes only the application and counselling fees and the security money; college tuition is paid at the allotted institute at admission. [1]
