01 Overview & official source

One counselling for every MBBS and BDS seat in Gujarat

ACPUGMEC is constituted under the Gujarat Professional Medical Educational Colleges or Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007. For 2026-27 it ran the admission for 100% of the seats of all medical and dental colleges in the state — Government Quota (GQ), Management Quota (MQ) and NRI Quota (NQ). [1]

The rules make it a centralized single-window counselling for government, management and NRI seats, held online as per the counselling scheme of the national regulator for that year. [8]

A candidate who applies for government seats of government and unaided colleges is also eligible for management seats of unaided medical and dental colleges. [2]
