AIIMS B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing 2026 — eligibility, 19 AIIMS, marking & fees

The B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing entrance is common to AIIMS New Delhi and 18 other AIIMS: Raipur, Rishikesh, Bhopal, Bathinda, Bhubaneswar, Kalyani, Deoghar, Gorakhpur, Jodhpur, Bilaspur, Nagpur, Mangalagiri, Patna, Bibinagar, Raebareli, Guwahati, Jammu and Rajkot. [1]

B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing seats, 2026 [1]

• Only female candidates are eligible for B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing.
• Indian citizen, at least 17 years old on 31 December 2026 (born on or before 1 January 2010).
• Class 12 (10+2) with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology: 55% aggregate in these for General / OBC-NCL / EWS, 50% for SC / ST.
• Students appearing in Class 12 in March / April 2026 with results before 30 June 2026 may apply. [1]

B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing paper [1]

• Online (CBT) test of 2 hours in English and Hindi, in major cities across India.
• +1 for a correct answer, −1/3 for a wrong one; more than one response is marked wrong.
• Standard is Class 12; AIIMS sets no separate syllabus.
• Ties go to higher Biology marks, then Chemistry, then Physics, then the older candidate. [1]

• Separate merit lists are made for General, OBC-NCL, EWS, SC and ST; 5% of seats are for persons with benchmark disabilities.
• Seats are allotted online in two rounds and a final open round from one combined merit list. A reserved-category candidate who can get a seat on merit takes an unreserved seat.
• The open round needs a refundable security deposit of ₹25,000. Leaving the course midway costs ₹5,000. [1]

The prospectus fee table for B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing lists a ₹25 registration fee, ₹600 tuition, ₹960 pot money and ₹480 hostel rent for the 4-year course, plus a ₹100 caution deposit. Hostel stay is compulsory for B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing students. [1]

• The course trains nurses and midwives for hospital and community care over 4 years, and prepares them to teach and supervise nursing care. [1]
