Phase 1 · Class 11–12 Class 12 prerequisites Commerce with Accountancy is the usual route; Maths is preferred.
- BAF usually admits Commerce students, though some colleges accept other streams.
- Class 12 Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics and Maths are the preparation subjects.
- Mumbai University and several others fill seats on Class 12 merit.

Phase 2 · After Class 12 Admission process Merit list admission or CUET-UG depending on the university.
- Register on the university or college portal during the admission window.

- Note that some autonomous colleges conduct their own interviews.

Phase 3 · Year 1–3 Six semesters of study Accounting, taxation, auditing, finance and law.
- Year 1: Financial Accounting, Business Law, Economics, Business Communication and Mathematics.
- Year 2: Advanced Accounting, Cost Accounting, Taxation (Direct and GST), Auditing and Financial Management.
- Year 3: Corporate Accounting, Financial Services, Management Accounting and electives.
- The course is aligned with the skills needed for CA, CMA and CS exams.

- Higher study: M.Com, MBA Finance, CA Intermediate by direct entry (as a graduate).

- Government: bank and SSC exams.
